The Race

Join us for the Firecracker 5k on July 4 as we celebrate freedom by helping bring freedom to children trapped in slavery! All race proceeds benefit Mercy Project, a local non-profit aiming to eradicate slavery in Ghana, Africa. Come run with hundreds of your friends and family.

The event will take place July 4 at 8am from the parking lot in front of Brazos Running Company, 1667 Texas Ave. S, in College Station next to Kohls. Packet Pickup will be from noon to 7pm Tuesday, July 3 at Brazos Running Company and for our out of town runners from 6:30-7:30 AM on July 4 at the start line. The race is designed for runners and walkers of all ages and we invite you to gather your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to join us.

To keep the prices low and maintain a fun run atmosphere, this run has no chip-timing. All runners will receive a race t-shirt and post-race all-American goodies; watermelon and apple pie. Runners are encouraged to dress in the colors of the flag. The race fee is only $25 for adults, $20 for students, and $75 per family of up to five people.
